Rathcormac is one of the biggest and longest-running car boot sales in Cork, held on a Sunday roughly once a month in the village's Community Field. It has been going since 1997 and regularly draws around 2,000 visitors, with everything from vintage finds and tools to toys and household bits.

Carrigtwohill Car Boot Sale

A well-organised monthly sale in the car park of Carrigtwohill Community Centre in East Cork, with the 2026 dates published by the organisers. No booking is needed for sellers: spaces are allocated on arrival.

Belgooly Car Boot Sale

Belgooly GAA runs its car boot sale on the first Sunday of each month from March to October, weather permitting, so Sunday 4 October is the last one of 2026. It is a short spin from Kinsale and Carrigaline and popular with families.

Blarney Car Boot Sale

Blarney GAA & Camogie Club holds a car boot sale on bank holiday Mondays at its grounds on Castle Close Road. It is one of the busiest in the county, so arrive early.

Kilcully Car Boot Sale

Held at the Kilcully Scout Campsite on the northern edge of Cork city, with proceeds supporting the scout centre. Toilets, parking and catering are on site.

We could not find a confirmed Kilcully date for October 2026. The sale usually takes a break from December to February.

Ballydehob Car Boot Sale

Ballydehob in West Cork has a weekly Sunday car boot sale with indoor and outdoor pitches at the community hall, plus refreshments and toilets, which makes it one of the few options that works in bad weather.

Cork car boot sales not running right now

These sales appear in older guides but have no dates published for October or November 2026:

• Castletownroche (on the N72 between Mallow and Fermoy): no 2026 dates found. The last listed sale was in September 2025.
• Fermoy (The Showgrounds, run by Fermoy Rugby Club on Saturdays): no upcoming dates announced.
• Bandon (Riverview Shopping Centre): listed as cancelled.
• Carrigaline, Castlemartyr, Shanagarry, Durrus and Skibbereen: no current dates published. Most run seasonally in spring and summer.

Tips for selling at a Cork car boot sale

• Arrive when the seller gates open. The best pitches go first, and serious buyers arrive within the first hour.
• Bring a table, a cover and pegs. Most Cork sales are outdoors on grass, and a stall at waist height sells far more than a blanket on the ground.
• Price everything. Stickers or a few "everything €1" boxes save you answering the same question 200 times.
• Bring change. €50 in coins and €5 notes is a sensible float. Entry and pitch fees are almost always cash only.
• Offer card or Revolut too. A phone payment option helps with bigger items.
• Check the weather and the organiser's page on Saturday night. Outdoor sales are cancelled if the field is waterlogged.

Tips for buyers

• Early for the best finds, late for the best prices. Sellers would rather not pack things back into the car.
• Bring cash in small notes. Asking for change from €50 for a €2 item rarely goes well.
• Test electricals if you can and check for missing parts before you pay.
• Bring bags, and a trolley if you are hunting for furniture or tools.
• Haggle politely. A fair offer usually gets a yes, especially near the end.
